Langkawi Hospital ( Goverment hospital ) The 110-bed Langkawi Hospital was opened in November 1995 to replace the aging Government medical clinic in Kuah. Built by a Swedish company, Skanska Pamarajv, the hospital is spread over 53 acres and comes complete with quarters for doctors and medical personnel. Modern hospital with some specialist services. Capable of handling most emergencies, but patients needing more advanced care can be air-lifted immediately by helicopter to the Alor Setar Hospital on the mainland. Note that blood transfusions are free, and blood donors are most welcome at the hospital's Blood Bank. This baby and spouse-friendly hospital has more than 200 medical assistants, nurses and doctors. Government Medical Clinic Padang Mat Sirat Near to the airport, this is the closest medical facility to Rebak Marina and surrounding areas. Can deal with most accident and general needs.
